Over the last 40 years RMAX has pioneered the development and production of Rigid Cellular Plastics. The combination of this spirit and a commitment to customer service, which provides a focus on product quality and timeliness of delivery backed by design and technical assistance, has propelled RMAX to a position of market leadership.

RMAX operates within a continuous improvement framework where regular surveys of our customers' needs and priorities are carried out. The data from these surveys is then benchmarked against results of internal audits to measure actual performance in satisfying customer need for product performance, timeliness of delivery, design and price.

This continual benchmarking process helps maintain focus on our service to customers as we continue to improve new Rigid Cellular Plastics product technologies such as PPO, Arcel, Expanded Polyethylene and Expanded Polypropylene.

The RMAX product range falls into two basic categories, moulded and block.

The shape moulded product range includes packaging products for the fresh food, white goods and electronic industries as well as components for a range of consumer products such as bicycle safety helmets, surfboards and automotive.

Block products are manufactured primarily for the building and civil engineering industries.

The RMAX building products range offers solutions for foundations, construction, insulation and wall cladding, building facades and decorative architectural finishes.

For the civil engineering industry RMAX has a range of products that are ideally suited for applications such as retaining, reclamation, insulation and marine floatation platforms.

Through its memberships of the Plastics and Chemicals Industries Association (PACIA) and Recycling Expanded Polystyrene Australia (REPSA), RMAX has made and will continue to make a significant contribution to the establishment of Australian Standards for the Rigid Cellular Plastics Industry.

To support its commitment to the development of Australian Industry Standards for Rigid Cellular Plastics and related products, RMAX operates a National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) laboratory at its Victoria headquarters.

To support the commitment to quality, the ISO 9001 Quality Management System has been implemented in 80% of the production centres across Australia and New Zealand with 100% by 2002.

In addition the RMAX automotive product range complies with the QS 9000 standard requirements and is extending its performance in relation to environmental protection by seeking to implement total business compliance to the Environmental Standard ISO 14001.
