Long term insulation value The thermal resistance (R value) of ThermaRoof® insulation is permanent because its cellular structure contains only stabilized air. Ageing has no effect on performance.
Cost effective ThermaRoof® provides high R values per dollar and allows for very cost effective design.
It is lightweight, easy and quick to install, providing further savings.
Moisture resistant ThermaRoof® has excellent resistance to moisture absorption. Due to its closed cell structure, moisture gain has limited effect on thermal resistance values.
ThermaRoof® also offers a high degree of dimensional stability in wet conditions.
High retained thermal resistance Uptake of moisture is limited. US Army Corps of Engineering tests showed a 90% retention of dry R value at a 6% vol/vol moisture content.
Superior drain 8mm x 4mm channels allow easy drainage across the top of the membrane. Coupled with adequate roof design ThermaRoof® prevents prolonged water/insulation contact.
Temperature cycling resistance Provides long-term consistent performance without loss of structural integrity or physical properties.

Breathability ThermaRoof® does not trap moisture, removing the need for costly venting required by other relatively impermeable insulation materials.
Environmentally sound The EPS used in ThermaRoof® is 100% recyclable and has a small environmental footprint in production.
In addition it provides no nutritive value to plants, animals and micro-organisms, does not rot and is highly resistant to mildew, assisting in the reduction of building maintenance.
Easy to use ThermaRoof® insulation can be installed quickly and easily. It can be cut to shape with a knife or saw to ensure a tight custom fit, eliminating heat loss channels.
